Virtual tour of the Novartis Campus
Novartis wants to showcase every corner of its Basel campus in an interactive, fun way, so it sets out to do it through an app that, at the same time, promotes a new product.
The app turns it into a 'Pokemon Go'-style ride where users capture different letters as they walk the entire campus following directions to the next pickup. Along the way they experience — through their phone camera — the vision problems suffered by people with macular issues. As they progress, the problem gets corrected thanks to the Novartis product.
When done, the captured letters spell out the name of the promoted medicine.
Native AR development with room to grow
RSB has built both apps natively for iOS and Android using Unity for the augmented reality side. RSB has also delivered Novartis a content manager from which to add new spots in new locations, since the idea is to roll this concept out to other campuses the company owns around the world.
